The season of giving is upon us, and there’s nothing like a festive market, fair or bazaar to help get you in the holiday spirit. Plus, who can resist some good old retail therapy (even if half of it is just browsing!)? We love to support local businesses throughout the festive season, and a Hong Kong market or fair is a great place to do that by purchasing last-minute stocking stuffers and splurge a little on ourselves. Here are some must-visit Hong Kong Christmas markets and holiday fairs to check out in the lead-up to the holidays.

Island Shangri-La Christmas Market 2025

Filled with delightful Christmas scents and sounds, the Lobby at Island Shangri-La returns with its beloved Christmas Market. Stroll through stalls offering thoughtful gifts and festive treats, including handcrafted chocolates and a gingerbread house. Freshly baked goods will be served, including Executive Pastry Chef Julien’s Christmas pudding, a mandarin earl grey yule log stollen, Christmas cookies, minced pies and panettone.

Discovery Bay Christmas Market 2025

Hosted by Handmade Hong Kong, the Discovery Bay Christmas Market is back, once again spotlighting homegrown independent businesses selling a host of homeware, clothing, jewellery, edible treats and beauty items. Most of the pieces you’ll find here are one-of-a-kind and crafted with love — the best kind of gift if you ask us! Plus, after shopping, you can check out the Winter Wonderland decorations that are up around Discovery Bay this year.
