Friday After Class, now open on Peel Street, serves core memories in a glass, letting you relive the joy and freedom of the moment school’s out and you can let loose for the weekend. It has a lively Pre-game terrace and a more intimate Common Room, led by Head Bartender Sabin Thapa. The drinks act as chapters in a story, each designed to evoke a specific memory (such as Bye-Bye Yuzu, dusted with plum salt to remind you of childhood candies enjoyed on the playground) during different stages of life.

Locale has made appearances at recent events like JazzFest 2025 where its stall was met with excitement over its delicious offerings. Head over soon before word gets out!

Now designed with a new concept ‘Your Urban Sweet Spot’, EAST Hong Kong has just announced the relaunch of Sugar, a longtime neighbourhood favourite complete with a refreshed outdoor terrace boasting immaculate panoramic harbour views. Its new menu experiments with Japanese finesse and Hong Kong classics, creating a cocktail lineup that pays homage to Asian cinematic staples. Alongside the tipples, it also has an artfully constructed food menu, featuring a Dim Sum series, a Japanese Plate and local sweet treats. For extra theatrical flair, you can also enjoy a live chef’s counter where select dishes are prepared in full view, inspired by Japanese dining traditions.

The standouts to us were Soupreme and Little Nepal (plus O Venice! for a spicy kick).

If you’ve ever enjoyed a cocktail or two at LPM, you’ll know its bartenders rarely miss. Pumping up the heat on otherwise casual Thursdays, this new experience blends bold flavours, the elegance of terrace dining and buzzing vibes. Signature cocktails include Perilla, Yuzu Blossom, Hoji Sour and Bitter & Sweet (these are ones for the Gin and Whiskey lovers!) for $138 each. You can also get Champagne by the glass for $128 to $178.
