Namaste raju dai,

i am studying ABE in travel, tourism and hospitality management for past two years and now i wanted to change the course as well as the college. And the problem is my visa is going to expire in this coming march. Now could u suggest me what steps should i  take . I have gone through the UK border agency site and found that new rules going to implement on this February. The final amount  in our account should be held for 28 days before we apply and for the new course enrolment we need to have £7,200 for covering up to nine months with the full payment of first year...
Dai i really need ur help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

k ho yar,, so wht help u want from raju dai,,,

To change course its no problem, Make sure u got attendence letter n other related letter from recent college before going to new college,
As soon as u provide your old college documents to new college they will send it to homeoffice to get enrollment authority for u in related new course, which u love to do lol

so wht u want ,, about money,,, I m sure raju dai will not give u money , lol,,,

ya u have to pay the fee full amounth n bank statement for 28 days,,,,

:owht i can suggest u is,,,,, Try to get the college where they can make u full paid letter but in reality u pay few or half of the fee lol

;Dor u want tht type of college who can do it for u,,,, first  decide,,,,, which course u wanna do,,,,

by the way why u wanna change course yar, u already gave 2yrs of your life for tht ABE course, so why donlt u continue,,, same course,,

don;t change your course,,,,,,,,,,,,, like your hair style yar,, lol ,, pachi,,, NA GHAR KO NA GHAT KO HUNCHA

Dear Bhai
Let me clarify your situation. I have published article in Nepali patra some time in December 2009 which shed light to students who are studying in the UK. I understand that you are currently studying ABE in travel, tourism and hospitality management for last two years. You wish to change the course and course provider too. I note that your visa will be expired in March 2010. You have also stated that you have gone through the UK Border Agency's site and found that new rules will be  implemented in February 2010. This is absolutelt right. You have also stated that final amount  in your account should be held for 28 days before your application.
The Home Office has introduced new policy for Tier 4 Students on 30th September 2009. The new policy focuses on two main areas :

   1. Extending the maintenance concession for Tier 4 applicants who are already in the United Kingdom
   2. Tying Tier 4 students' permission to stay to their sponsors, if they make their application on or after 5 October.

Let me briefly mention what does mean by extending the maintenance concession for Tier 4 applicants who are already in the United Kingdom. The students need to show  enough money to cover their course fees and maintenance. They must normally show that they have held this money for a 28-day period ending no more than one month before their application. Now the  UKBA have operated a concession allowing students to show only that they have required funds in place on the date when they apply. This policy benefits to students that they require to show funds at the date of application but not for a 28 days before their application.

If you wish to make a Tier 4 (General) student application from inside the United Kingdom before February 2010 . you are in great advantage to show that you have the money needed on the day when you apply. From 1 October 2009, if you are applying from outside the United Kingdom you must show that you have held the required money for a 28-day period ending no more than one month before the date of their application. This 28 days rule will not apply in your case as you are already studying in the UK.

The another route to change your course provider, you must follow that should you wish to study with a new Tier 4 sponsor ( Always check with UKBA website and find A rated college)and you have made your last application for a Tier 4 visa on or after 5 October 2009, you will need to apply for a new Tier 4 visa. You will not be allowed to start your course with the new sponsor (education provider) until you receive a decision on the outcome of your application. If you change the course without new application to the UKBA, it constitutes a criminal offence for which you could be prosecuted or removed from the country.
However, if you want to study with a new Tier 4 education provider (Known as sponsor), and you  have made your last application for a Tier 4 visa before 5 October 2009, you  will continue to be allowed to change your course without making a new Tier 4 application. The UKBA advised all students to seek permission to change their sponsor. I believe you have extended your visa prior to 5th October 2009, therefore you should seek permission from UKBA to change your course provider (always rely on UKBA website for A rated college at the time of application).

Again you have to satisfy attributes (valid visa letter) and maintenance (funds) as published in Immigration Rules.

Please be aware this concession will apply until February 2010.
I believe this clarifies your query.

Many Thanks

Dear Raju Dai,

I am studying acca and been here in uk two years ago. I wanted to change college and course as well. My visa expires in this July30,2010. I am in Old Visa based. Not in tier 4.
How do I change my course and college with visa expire is nearer? Do I have to inform UKBA about changing college and course? If so How? Heard, I must get permission from UKBA about approval of changing college and courses. Only after their decision I will be applying for visa extension. If so then, ukba will take long time for decision which will effect on visa extension. Please Raju Dai, what should I do? Please detail me.
Then, when will be the best time to apply my extension.

THank you so much.
