i need some advice regarding the change of my course, i extended my visa before 5th oct and i am switching my course in may with the same sponsor and my visa is expiring on 1st aug. for 2 months, i ll have to continue my old course as my college said there musnt be the gap of more than 28 days. According to policy guidance, i can see if the length of the new course exceeds my current permission of stay , i need to apply with a new application, but i didnt understand is it for all the students even who applied before 5th oct 2009, if yes , my college is now telling me they will inform the home office and i ll not need to reapply before my permission expires. I am now in confused state that whether to send my application for the extra permission according to policy guidance or should i extend my visa around july according to what my college says.

I would be grateful if you would give advice on this matter.
