With this, the Plumstead-based band has also clinched the title "Band of the Year", besides cash prize NRs. 100,000, certificate and a trophy. Crash 18 and Fistful were declared second & the third bands respectively.

Pujan Rai (Fistful) was declared ‘best vocalist' while Amit Reshami (Crash 18) was chosen the ‘best lead guitarist' in the competition. Likewise, Sangam Gurung and Alen Thapa (both from Hades) were announced as ‘best drummer' and ‘best base guitarist'.

The event was organised by Aayam Sounds & Visions.

Nepali Councillor Dhan Gurung, Captain Shewanta Purja and Dr Kishor Gurung were the judges of the mega musical event. Nepali Ambassador to the UK Dr Suresh Chandra Chalise had inaugurated the function.

Altogether 13 bands had thrown their hats into the ring. Paperez, the winner band of last year, and other bands -- UNS and Natus -- had also performed on the occasion as guest bands.

A large number of audience, mostly of 14-25 age group, had cheered up their favourite band as the latter continued with their enthralling performance.

Nepalisamajuk.com, Nepali TV UK, BFBS Radio, Nepali Patra weekly were the official media sponsors of the event.

Khusiman Gurung was the platinum sponsor of the event. Similarly, Rex Air, Monties South Ealing, Crown Service UK, Las Vegas Sound House, Bill Purja, Gorkhas Dinner, among others, were the programme sponsors.

Expressing happiness as the event was a success, programme coordinator Ramesh Singh Sarangkoti said that the programme would be continued in the next year too if all stakeholders and sponsors joined hand with them.
