The Claim
Deemed a ‘recipe of radiance’, the nourishing Elemis Pro-Glow Brilliance is designed to revive dull, lacklustre skin by boosting brightness and introducing glow back to the complexion. It begins with a triple cleanse to melt away makeup, daily pollutants and grime (particularly relevant for Hong Kongers). Gentle resurfacing follows, dissolving dead skin to reveal healthy clarity beneath.
The Consult
Every treatment begins with a detailed consultation and skin analysis with Nude Beautique’s skilled aestheticians. After a thorough inspection of my skin, Pauline (industry legend and one of the best in the business!) identified hydration as the main objective, no surprise given an intense week of travel the week prior. As such, the Elemis Pro-Glow Brilliance was chosen to revive skin that was crying out for moisture and TLC, though the selection of branded treatments ensures a fix targeting a range of specific concerns.

The Experience
Admittedly jetlagged, this relaxing facial was exactly what the aesthetician ordered, and it was a joy to relax completely knowing there would be no machines, pain or extreme temperatures to interrupt legitimate beauty sleep. The extractions are done at the beginning of the treatment (optional, of course) and once the bright lights are turned off, it’s a one-way ticket to the ultimate unwind. In all honesty, Pauline’s expert touch was so soothing that after the application of two hydrating masks, I was instantly asleep. More than just a treat for the skin, it was the power nap that I desperately needed.
Immediate Impressions
Pauline managed to rouse me from deepest slumber, taken aback by my visible exhaustion. She held up a mirror to show me the wonders she had worked with skin that looked lit from within, as opposed to the artificial sheen of opalescent primers or dewy skin mist used to mask lack of sleep, dry climates and too much time spent on a plane. In a hectic city like Hong Kong where the focus on results is off the charts (skincare treatments included) it was refreshing not to be poked and prodded in the name of beauty. You simply can’t beat a good old-fashioned facial, in which beautiful products are applied by hands that work magic. I emerged from the salon cocoon looking radiant — but more importantly — rested.

The first 30 clients who book an Elemis Facial with code SASSY will receive a complimentary Rose Marine Cream (15ml) and Mini Pro-Collagen Moisture Essence (worth $690!), while stocks last.
